“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.”

Albert EINSTEIN, physician, theoretician

TIGNES embraces the vast natural Lake that carries its name on the Haute-Tarentaise territory, above the ski stations of the Arcs, the Rosière, Sainte-Foy Tarentaise and right before Val d’Isère.

TIGNES is part of the skiable area of the Espace Killy next to Val d’Isère. It is one of the best stations all year round.

Nature in all its dimensions

TIGNES is part of the Auvergne Rhône Alpes region in France, the town located within the national park of the Vanoise was created in 1963 with the initial mission of protecting nature and educating people on its importance for humanity.

The Vanoise massif alone holds a third of France’s flora, representing about 1700 species on less than 0.5% of the national territory.

TIGNES is a handi-friendly resort, respectful of people and nature, with a strong commitment to sustainable development, it has been Green Globe certified since 2015.

Tignes obtained the “Flocon Vert” label in November 2022, the guarantee of a sustainable commitment to mountain tourist destinations.
