Spotlight on Cani-rando

The principle is the use of a special belt with a cushioned leash in tandem with the dog, it’s a unique outdoor experience that combines hiking with the pleasure of the animal’s company. Its benefits include stimulating physical activity, exploring nature, and sharing original moments particularly appreciated by children, always accompanied by an adult of course.

Cani-rando offers three levels of intensity: cani-walk for a relaxed walk, cani-march for a brisk walk with light assistance from the dog, and cani-run where the dog pulls intensely, requiring endurance from both the owner and the animal.

Huskies, Malamutes, Samoyeds, and Nordic sled dogs are generally the star companions. However, all breeds of dogs can practice Cani-rando if the animals are healthy, accustomed to effort, and sufficiently obedient.

In Tignes, it is with musher Cindy Duport that the activity takes place, several times winner of LA GRANDE ODYSSÉE with her faithful Scandinavian hounds.

Come & enjoy!
