Coming to Tignes in June: Training camp for French national cross-country skiing team

Running, cycling, roller skiing, and strength training are part of the daily program for French athletes during their training camp in June.

Thibaut Chêne, the coach of the French team, explains that in Tignes, the focus is on hypoxia training, to improve endurance and performance. He also emphasizes, “We are always well received in Tignes where the resort does a great job for us.”

To tackle the competition season, solid prior physical preparation is fundamental to ensure a competitive edge on the field.

Trondheim: A Unanimous Choice!

The international season will begin on November 29th in Ruka (FIN) and will conclude on March 23rd, 2025, in Lahti (FIN), passing through Lillehammer (NOR), Davos (CHE), Toblach (ITA), Val di Fiemme (ITA), Les Rousses (FRA), Engadine (CHE), Novo Mestro (SVN), Falun (SWE), Oslo-Holmenkollen (NOR), Tallinn (EST), and Lahti (FIN) in between.

From February 22nd to March 9th, 2025, Norway will once again host the grand celebration of Nordic skiing in Trondheim. As the sole candidate, this city in Trøndelag, home to champions like Petter Northug Jr. and Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo, was unanimously designated as the host by the FIS Council.

For the first time in history, para cross-country skiers will be included in the program of these World Championships. There will indeed be a classic sprint reserved for standing, sitting, and visually impaired categories.

The performances of the para-athletes are set to deliver an impressive show for the audience!

Marks your calendars for November as the competition begins then !
